Privacy principles

Private reasoning stays private by design

Personal Problem Solver entries, decision journals, News Lab worksheets, AI Examination worksheets and family responses are stored for the learner account and are not intended to be disclosed to an employer or incentive sponsor through normal reporting.

Employer / sponsor reporting

Where an employer or sponsoring organization provides access, reporting should be limited to appropriate administrative information such as activation, course completion, certificate status and aggregate participation. The content of private reasoning sessions should not be exposed.

No LLM processing required

The core instructional, scoring and reasoning functions do not require submission of learner content to a large language model. If the learner chooses to use an outside AI separately, that use is governed by the outside service’s terms and privacy practices.

Operational data

The application stores account information, progress, learner-generated content, access-code records and certificate data required to operate the service. Production deployments should use HTTPS, secure database credentials, regular backups and a documented retention/deletion policy appropriate to the operator’s jurisdiction.
